I just finished my gasifier. It is based on Ben Peterson design with some customization like the cooling system is different and I add another tank that some call a cyclone. I use wood chip with about 10-20 % moisture. After few hours running my 5kW generator the filter gets full of moisture. It is a lot of maintenance. I know that it works on wood charcoal but I would like to go without. Any advice?

Your generator is too small for this gasifier unless you modified the design for running smaller engines bellow 500cc. These small engines simply are not capable of driving any wood gasifier to full cracking temps.
The only thing I can recommend is to add an additional filter / condenser to your system. But keep in mind a gasifier is running under vacuum so the due point will be much lower. So you must cool the gas lower than this due point or it will not drop.
The only other option is to dry your fuel lower than 10% MC or lower
