Ok we will start 1st quarter production Feb 12th and will be producing the first 2024 CFX RTR units. This is now the fourth generation of our charcoal gasifier systems. We will only produce this one size it is designed to make best use of the steel when we produce parts on the CNC. While making the unit larger giving you the best bang for the buck. It really dont shave any cost making this smaller this is really about the optimal size for manufacturing. Making it larger like the 2023 DXF-S4 then it starts getting impractical as the shells dont fit our break plus there is a waste when cut the shells out. The new version we can get two shells per sheet instead of one.
However, cost cutting is only one design critieria there are a number of critieria, when a new design comes out it must exceed all critierias. Now the performance critieria!
Ok so basically what I did is I cramed the 2023 DXF-S4 into a slightly smaller platform to match the 2023 DFX-S3. This unit is the same hieght as last years DXF-S3. However it shares the width and depth, water tank, jet system, wheels, and more all from the S4. All at the price point of the 2023 DFX S3.
The CFX now has the larger Nozzle port. This allows for more than one Nozzle arrangement. Standard it will come with the same nozzle set that was on the S3. However you can install the S4 nozzle set and we should be able to accomadate the larger V twins. Nozzle has been relocated slightly inward to reduce fuel consumptoin biasing to the front of the unit.
The Fusion has been greatly refined and streamlined. The gas transfer tube is now integrated into the Fusion verses it was inside the reactor. This will help reduce heat absorbtion making the later gas cooling stage more effective. The blower unit is now shared from the VFX-14 and is removable. You can relocate the blower on an external drum filter. This allows additional gas and scrubbing pre blower.
Wheels are now upgraded to the 13 inch wheels making it much easier to move.
Although the unit is not as tall as last years S4, the expanded width will add additional fuel capicity than last years S3 plus with the reduces consumption biasing it will be better use of the available fuel in the hopper.
So bigger unit, more versitile, more fuel capacity, Improved gas cooling, larger water tank, larger hopper fill port, more streamlined design all for the same price as the 2023 DXF-S3. Although Ive cut some cost Ive also added it right back in as this is a larger unit. We are just cutting raw matterials cost and simplified a few construction features. However there is a trade off; we are adding in more labor as the is unit larger along with the more expensive wheels, the additional large bore Nozzle jet etc.
I cant wait till I get mine!!
