Hello all, well a new year is upon us!!
So it is time to update the website and spread some news on whats to come for 2025!!
So we will be introducing a new DIY gasifier system for the 2025 model year. This DIY gasifier system is part of the VersiFire systems development. This will be the VersiFire DIY Gasifier. I started development work on this unit last spring. The current version is charcoal only at the current development state. However the design goal is to develop this so that it can be built as a wood fueled gasifier for use in combination with the VersiFire automated gas storage system. This will allow you to run wood fuel for small engine fuel without tar issues and also will run as stable as grid supplied gas. (Only the VersiFire Gas Storage System will be able to provide this level of performance, you wont find this anywhere else!)
The VersiFire DIY gasifier will be a lower cost solution to the CFX. It will be supported with tutorial videos that are already done to show you how to build the units from the kits. The concept uses ordinary plumbing parts and components that readily available. There are only a few custom made parts that we produce for the kit. There will be pre welded versions, non welded versions and fully built versions. I anticipate the pricing to range between $1400.00 for the simplist version on up to $2450.00 for a fully assembled version. Note on the fully assembled units this does not include your filter. We supply the parts but you must build this part and supply the drum on your end. Beta units are available upon request.
Now the VersiFire gas storage system! Ok so this has been in development since 2020. It has since changed many times with its intended design goals. Originally it was suppose to be a retort charcoal producer will captureing the usable but dirty pyrolysis gases for use as utility gas. However carbon monoxide is a massive hurdle and liability to offer to the general consumer. So we are not going to follow that path. However, as we developed and tested these prototypes we learned a lot. The gas is scrubbed clean in the gas storage plus its not all that dirty to begin with. Why? Ok so the way the VersiFire works is the engine does not drive the gasifier. There is a charge blower that drives the gasifier to charge the gas storage system instead. So that gasifier is never ever underdriven. Its always driven to top opperating parameters to provide the best quality gas possible. Machines flows are solved because the unit is shut down in between gas accumulator charging and fuel hange ups can be corrected while in idle modes. If there is a bridge this can be corrected without tar production as while in idle mode this raw fuel can now torrify while its waiting for the next charge cycle. We tested one of the earlier VersiFire systems running a 200cc power generator. The small 200 cc engines are the most dificult engines to run under load as you dont have very much headroom for fluxuations with power generators this small. The VersiFire supplied extremely clean gas and it was very consistant allowing the engine to run very stable and without worry of tar production. Not to mention the engine had a bit more power as the gas supply is positive and not reliant on engine vacuum presure. The very first Beta version of the VersiFire will ship to Denmark in the next coming weeks. We will have another Beta unit here in the United States going to Ohio. Then we will of coarse have an updated prototype coming this next spring.
Now for the 2025 CFX!! Ok so we have made a few updates to the CFX for the 2025 model year. It now features a stainless steel water tank, side brackets, flare cup and hopper lid. So it will stay much prettier left outside in the elimates. The start up blower is no longer a plastic housing, it is now upgraded to an aluminum housing. The Jet / Nozzle has also had a major update and the 2025 model will now be able to crack 4 X as much water as previous models. Nearly 40% of the fuel charge is ordinary water, the CFX and VersiFire DIY both run on water not just charcoal. Google search " water gas " < this is nothing new.
The 2025 CFX will now be offered in a base format without; hose system, start up blower / flare cup, filter, engine adapter and AFR mixer assembly. This will drastically cut the price point down by $1000.00 USD making it more reachable for those that can create the support systems on thier own.
Awesome update. Can't wait to see the versifire running some small engines from the stored gas chamber!
