Ok things will be quiet here as I am just cutting parts on the CNC machine yet. However I am dedicating some time to the new TPM 5 kW power module, this will be our first ever V Twin stand alone power module. Not that we haven't built V twin power units; we built many, but those were full integration systems. We will never do that again as this way we can keep the gasifier units as a standard product that can then be upgraded to plug and play with these generator power modules. The automation will come through these generator systems to offer the self start functionality of the gasifier and these systems will be apart of the generator that the gasifier simply plugs into along with an add on ignitor that installs into the gasifier ignition port. All 2022 gasifier models are automation ready and have revisions to support the add on ignition ignitor and automated water supply valve. So they can be upgraded to this system at anytime.
The engine and generator are a divorced system. This is so you can easily remove the engine for rebuild. This is not so easy with off the shelf generators as the generator head is integrated onto the engine. These are very time consuming systems to over haul and if you are using a generator for full time off grid you will at some point need to refresh the engine. This is another reason you want solar to go with this system to minimize run hours on the generator.
This generator is smart and is capable of AGS systems or we can set you up with a thornwave AGS controller. When these system send out a signal calling for a battery charge; the Thrive Power Module can read this and self start the gasifier. The TPM has its own start up blower with automated on / off valve and can ignite a flare on its own along with firing the ignitor glow plug at the gasifier and turning on the water flow valve fitted onto the gasifier. Once the controls see a flare is lit and sustaining it will shift into engine start mode shuttling valving to supply gas away from the flare cup and too the engine. The air mixer valve will open to a set angle and the engine starter will fire. Once the engine is running the controls move into auto run mode and self monitor and adjust the AFR mixture until the AGS signal goes LOW. Once the battery charge cycle is complete the controls self shutdown the engine and go back into stand by mode. As long as you keep fuel in the machine it will self run as needed.
